Equilibrium and acid-base chemistry ask you to predict, not recall. We teach that reasoning — online across Vancouver or in person in Burnaby.

Chemistry 12 asks a different kind of question than Chemistry 11. Instead of "calculate this", it asks "what happens if we change that, and why" — and no amount of memorised reactions answers it.
Equilibrium is where students feel this most sharply. It is a genuinely strange idea: a reaction that never stops, sitting at a balance you can deliberately push around. Once that picture lands, Le Chatelier's principle stops being a rule to recite and becomes something you can reason with.
Nothing before Chemistry 12 prepares students for a reaction that runs in both directions at once. The instinct is to memorise which way the arrow shifts in each scenario — a strategy that works for a quiz and collapses on an unfamiliar question.
We build the mental picture first: a dynamic balance, and a system that responds to being disturbed. From there, predictions become something a student derives rather than recalls, which is exactly what the exam is testing.
We work with students across Vancouver online, and in person at our Burnaby centre for families who prefer it. Support can cover the full course or target a single unit — equilibrium and electrochemistry are the two we are asked for most.

Excellent tutor for university-level calculus. He breaks down complex topics step-by-step and helps with exam preparation. Highly recommended for any engineering or science student.
University Student

Amazing tutoring experience! Chemistry was my weakest subject, but the classes made it so easy to understand. I got an A on my final exam.
High School Student

Highly professional and dedicated. The structured study plan helped my son stay on track. He look forward to his classes every week.

The best way to know whether our teaching style is right for your child is to experience it directly.
Have questions? We've answered the most common questions students and parents ask before enrolling.
Chemistry 11 mostly asks you to calculate; Chemistry 12 asks you to predict and justify. Students who succeeded by memorising problem types often hit a wall at equilibrium, because there is no template to apply — the question is genuinely new each time.
Yes. We run targeted final-exam review that works through the units most commonly examined, focused on the reasoning that earns marks rather than re-reading notes.
It is a prerequisite for many health and life-science pathways, and it is assumed in first-year university chemistry. It is worth learning properly rather than passing, because the next course does not revisit it.
