Almost every Chemistry 11 difficulty traces back to one idea: the mole. Get that right and the year opens up. Online across Vancouver or in person in Burnaby.

There is a single concept that decides how Chemistry 11 goes, and it arrives early: the mole. It is the bridge between what you can weigh and what is actually reacting, and almost everything afterwards leans on it.
Students who half-understand it can still pass the unit — which is precisely the trap. The gap stays hidden until stoichiometry, then solutions, then gas laws, each one quietly harder than it should be. We would rather fix it in October than in April.
Students who treat n = m/M as a formula to apply get stuck the moment a question does not announce which quantity it wants. Students who understand a mole as a counting unit — a way to count particles by weighing them — can reason their way through anything the course asks.
So we teach it as an idea before it is arithmetic. It is slower for one session and it removes a term's worth of confusion.

Excellent tutor for university-level calculus. He breaks down complex topics step-by-step and helps with exam preparation. Highly recommended for any engineering or science student.
University Student

Amazing tutoring experience! Chemistry was my weakest subject, but the classes made it so easy to understand. I got an A on my final exam.
High School Student

Highly professional and dedicated. The structured study plan helped my son stay on track. He look forward to his classes every week.

The best way to know whether our teaching style is right for your child is to experience it directly.

Because the mole unit can be passed by pattern-matching, and stoichiometry cannot. This is the most predictable sequence in Chemistry 11, and the fix is to go back and rebuild the mole conceptually — which usually takes far less time than parents expect.
Only if the foundations are genuinely solid rather than just passed. Chemistry 12 does not revisit moles or stoichiometry — it assumes them and moves straight into equilibrium and acid-base chemistry. Gaps carried forward compound quickly.
Online across the city is the most popular option and works well for chemistry, since we can work problems together on a shared whiteboard. In-person sessions at our Burnaby centre are available and reachable by SkyTrain.
